Sahib Shrine 2009 Oriental Guide

At the Annual Stated Meeting on December 3, 2009, 1st Ceremonial Master William H. Zurlo was elected our Oriental Guide for 2009.

Bill and his Lady Stacy live in Sarasota. He was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania.

He became an Master Mason 1982 in the Plum Creek-Monroeville Lodge No. 799 F&AM in Plum Burrough, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) where his affiliation still remains.

At the urging of Greeter Charles Poynter, he joined the Sahib Shriners in December 1999 and the Scottish Rite in 2000.

Bill was appointed a Director in the Greeters Unit and after three years voted into the position of 3rd Vice-President. In 2006 he became the President when George Rylander resigned and moved away.

In January 2006, he was appointed Unit Council President and Dog Track Chairman, while continuing as President of the Greeters.

Bill has resigned as Unit Council President, but will continue to aid the Unit Council through the circus, if requested by the new Unit Council president.
